Welcome to one of our Business English Skill Set Course: Writing Emails!
Email is one of the most important means of communication in the world of business. It’s how we check in with our colleagues, set up meetings, send important work and documents to clients. Email is so important that it’s imperative you get it right.
In this course you will learn a variety of functions and phrases to use in emails, including linking words, adverbs, prepositions and more. In addition to this you will look at a wide range of examples (including business slang and abbreviations) to build your confidence when sending emails to your peers.
By the end of the course, I want you to feel able and energised to communicate with people through the written word. I’m a firm believer in practice making perfect and, in this course, you will have a lot of opportunity to practice.
When you are writing in a business context you must check your emails for mistakes. Here is a tip about how best to deal with this if you’re struggling:
Copy your email and paste it into a Word document (make sure the language is set to English UK/US). The document will examine your email for you and offer you red lines under words that are spelt wrong and blue lines under words that are grammatically incorrect.
It’s these simple fixes that can make your email stand out among all the others. At Intrepid English we believe in community, inclusivity, personalisation, and empowerment. I believe this course will help you achieve and experience all four of our brand values.
Our Writing Emails course is also available as an audio course which you can find on Apple Podcasts.
