Welcome to the TOEIC preparation course!
What is the TOEIC exam?
TOEIC stands for the Test of English for International Communication. It is split into two sections – one that evaluates your reading and listening skills and another that tests your speaking and writing skills. It is unlike other exams as it doesn’t focus on academia.
Instead, the purpose of TOEIC is to determine how you are able to use English in business environments and real-life settings. The sort of topics you can expect to find in a TOEIC exam are: transportation/travel, office work, jobs, banking, health and housing.
Now, let’s head to the introduction for a more detailed breakdown of the test.
If you are considering taking an English proficiency exam, but you don’t know which one, you might find this blog post useful.
