Have you ever wanted to say or write something but couldn’t find the right words?
Do you know a lot of words, but you’re not sure how to use them in a conversation?
Can you understand easily when reading, but struggle with writing an email?
One of the most common complaints from students is not finding the right words when they need them. At Intrepid English, we know how frustrating this can be.
This course focuses on some essential words at a pre-intermediate level. Each lesson also includes vocabulary extension activities at an intermediate level. These words are important for survival in day-to-day situations, and they often feature in exams.
How will you learn new words?
English is a creative language, and many words have more than one meaning. Learning a list of words and their translations won’t help you in a conversation. Instead, you should learn vocabulary in context to see how the word behaves “in the wild”.
In each lesson, you will focus on a few words and the relationships between them. Each lesson has audio recordings to help you with the pronunciation of any new words.
When studying this course, try to keep a vocabulary notepad. It doesn’t matter if you keep a traditional paper notepad or a digital one. Note down a few example sentences and related words, as well as the word itself. Try to describe words in English, instead of translating them.
