Safety Tips

Gemma November 20, 2019

When you’re on holiday, you want to relax and not worry about anything. Unfortunately, sometimes things happen that can make your holiday stressful and a lot less relaxing.

In this final lesson of your ‘English for Travelling’ course, we’ll talk about holiday safety.

It’s important to be aware of thieves and people who may be dishonest. All cities have them, but tourists can be an easy target. We’ll talk about how to keep your money and valuable items as safe as possible.

It’s unlikely that you will get ill or have an accident when you’re on holiday, but it’s wise to be prepared for this…just in case! This is why travel insurance is incredibly important. We’ll look at the different kinds of travel insurance available so that you have the correct cover.

If something unexpected happens, you need to act fast. What if your passport is stolen? Or you need the number for an ambulance? This part of the lesson will help you anticipate which emergency contact details you might need so that you’re prepared for an emergency at any time.

The good news is, fortunately, there are lots of things you can do to prepare for these challenging situations or stop them from happening.

Let’s keep you safe!
