I love encouraging my students with stories about my own language wins and fails. As an adult learner it's been hard to push myself out of my comfort zone and practise a second language. So I promise to be a sympathetic and patient ear for you. Just signing up to an Intrepid English class is a huge committed step to your English language learning. Well done you! My strongest second language is Mandarin. I usually tell people I speak Mandarin like a cave person - put it this way, if I was your tour guide in China you wouldn't go hungry or get lost. More or less...! I'm trying to practise my rusty French at the moment and teach it to my baby son, he doesn't mind if I don't conjugate my verbs correctly as long as I can sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in tune.0
